How URBAN FORESTS plant hire services benefit me To enable us to carry out the recycling programme that is so central to our ethos at URBAN FOREST we have had to purchase imported equipment that helps with the recycling process. This equipment also helps reduce the time taken to clear sites and the amount of man/machine power needed to clear sites in the past. The most central piece of equipment in this shift has been the use of wood chippers, which we use to reduce the volumes of timber generated on sites. This same machinery has been used by many site-clearing companies to help with removing the timber generated on building sites at a fraction of the cost. The conversion ration is between 4-6 times reduced, i.e. for every five trips a site clearing company truck would make in clearing timber, it now only has to make one. One only has to work out the average cost of running a large truck to realize the savings made in hiring a chipper to reduce the amount of traveling necessary. Large garden owners or conscientious gardeners often hire our machines on an hourly or daily ratio to convert their garden cuttings/branches into a viable growth medium to be used back in there garden as apposed to the time wasted in getting rid of useful waste matter and the money spent in buying in growth mediums from the nursery.
